Today we mainly learned about how to do a customer profile and shop report. We should know how to identify customers. Use demographic, geographic, psychographics, and behaviours these aspects. And do the shop report, we should analyze it by its shopping experience, visual decorations, the products etc.

And I think I did well during the class. I could always focus on what teachers said. Before the class, I was worried about whether I would be able to understand what the teacher was teaching and whether I would be able to keep up with the pace. Through the first lesson, I found that I could do well in class as long as I stayed focused.

1:How well could you complete the class tasks working on your own? Were you focused in class?

I think I did a better job of completing my homework independently in class. In most cases, I was able to quickly grasp the main points of the teacher’s speech and then start from the key points to complete the task more effectively, and I was able to stay focused in class, but there were a few times when I was distracted by electronic devices, which was very bad. Because missing a few words may be the point of the task, what I didn’t understand in class will take more extra time to fill in at the end of class, which I don’t think is worth it.

2:How did you organise your time to make sure you completed the SDS after the session?

Before I complete the assignment, I will revisit the PowerPoint for today’s lesson and first clarify the specific requirements for the assignment, such as format, quantity and some specific requirements. I then divide the work evenly into each day, depending on the amount of work and the time left in the day apart from the class. This way, firstly, I can make sure that the assignments will be completed, and secondly, I don’t add to my anxiety in the days before the final deadline. It also helps me to cut down on unnecessary recreational activities and allows me to focus more on my studies.

3:What might you do differently next time?

I think the first thing I will do in my next class is to put all my electronic devices into Do Not Disturb mode to allow me to concentrate on what the teacher is saying and not be distracted by the outside world. Secondly, I would like to be more efficient in completing my work. Next time I would make a list of what I need to do and in what order I need to do it, so that I don’t waste more time and can be more efficient instead of not knowing what to look for and wasting a lot of time.
