Today we conducted a customer segment analysis based on the people we interviewed on the street. More specific customer research is conducted based on the selected customer segment. We also created layouts with different display effects.
I am satisfied with the completeness of my research in this lesson because I am good at finding information. However, I struggled with the layout for a long time and did not achieve the layout effect I wanted. I hope I can be more proficient in image processing in the future.
PPD Questions:
1:What did you consider to be the most important detail to communicate?
I think the most important thing to communicate with others is that to make the one you are talking to get your point. I should always say it in a logical way so that others can understand quickly. And always being really prepared. When others have questions, I should be ready to clarify them. And also always confident about what I am going to talk about, saying it loudly and slowly. And also listen to what the others are talking about, and make some notes. I think the most important thing to communicate is to share ideas with each other.
2:Do you make time to discover new information beyond requirements? How do you do this?
Yes, I actually do some extra research. I think it’s because I can research in a quick way. And also I can organize the information in my mind. I can remember what I have seen before, and find the information really quick. When I am researching the required information, I always notice the other thing which seems to be not necessary. And also, I always want to know more of the details, so I’ll do the extra research during the limited time. I think it’s good for my study, because the more information you got, the more detailed analysis you can get.
3:What have you learnt about the customer and comparative shopping?
I have learned how to analyse customers more specifically. Where to start to get a more accurate analysis. Products are made for the needs of customers, so analysing their needs and preferences is a very important thing, and in analysing them I can also see the nature of the product design. Also, comparative shopping is important. In comparison, I can see the different selling points of different brands and shops, and I can analyse which groups of customers it applies to and which needs it meets. I find this process very interesting, seeing the hidden demand-supply relationship in everyday consumption. At the same time, this learning will be very useful later on when analysing the needs of customers and shops.
