Today we are working on a design based on previous customer analysis and photographed street graffiti. The teacher emphasised that this work focused on how to use the information from the research to make associations and applications. In this session of task completion, at first, I did not connect my design to the photos I had taken very well and after talking to the teacher I restarted the design. I hope that in future I will be able to capture the information provided by the teacher more accurately and complete the assignment more accurately. This mistake cost me a lot of class time, but it also taught me that communication with my teacher is necessary when I am not sure about an assignment.

1:What can you do to make improvements to your ability?

I think I should work on my drawing and creative skills more. I should develop my ability to find interesting shapes and apply them to my own designs. I’m not very good at analysing graphics yet, so I hope I can focus more on improving this. I also hope that I can have a better sense of communication, both with my classmates and my teachers, which will help me to do better in my studies and in solving my own problems.

2:Is it difficult to link your research?

I think it is more difficult to make the RESEARCH connection. How to link data analysis and images and then create them is not an easy task. Especially when you have selected a specific group of people and you are very limited in the images you can use, it is forming infinite possibilities with limited things. This is more difficult to do. So during the design process, I struggled to find a shape that I could use, but this process was also more of a struggle.

3:How do I benefit from interactions with my classmates?

I feel that there are many benefits to be gained from interacting with fellow students. Firstly, we can exchange inspiration and see other people’s work where we can improve. Secondly, by talking to our classmates, we can get a lot of different advice, good or bad, which can help us a lot in completing our work. Then, we can gain more different knowledge, as everyone has their own areas of expertise and weaknesses, and by exchanging ideas, we can help each other to complete our work more efficiently.
