Today we had a small summary of the month’s learning tasks and then completed page 5 of what we needed to use for the presentation. Because the PowerPoint had very detailed and precise little points on what needed to be written, I was able to quickly list what I wanted to write about once I had identified the topic I wanted to write about. The essay was then quickly written based on the words that were written.

1：What challenges have you needed to overcome in this project?

When I was finishing the cover, I struggled for a long time with how to make a more attractive cover that didn’t look so boring. I wrestled for a long time with the choice of whether to include images or hand-draw or collage. In the end, I settled on going with a very personal hand-drawn style for my cover. However, after I finished the painting, the result was not very good, so I re-edited the images using overlays and other elements to make them look more visual and stylistic.

2:Who did you ask when unsure? Why did you approach this person?

After I had made the rough PowerPoint, I personally wasn’t very happy with the results presented in it. So I spent some time in class talking to Giles and Sing about my PowerPoint, and of course, I received very helpful advice on how to make changes to my layout. The reason why I sought help from my teachers was, of course, because they could give me a more objective assessment of what I had done well, what I had not done very well and what could be revised, which helped me a lot in completing my assignment. I also asked my classmates for their opinions and combined some of their comments and also made changes, because everyone has different aesthetics and I was able to extract elements from their ideas that I could use at the same time.

3:You have one day to make improvements to your work, what would you do and why?

I think I will spend more time on the MEDIA side of things. I wasn’t very happy with the styling and media this time because I didn’t make anything I could use in class, so I shot the task on my own when I got home, and the locations were limited in terms of angles, so I had to use a very limited space to try to create the style I wanted. So next time I will think about what I want to say in advance and do my media assignment more effectively and better.
