So today we visited the street graffiti on Shoreditch High Street. I was pretty efficient today and finished the assignment quickly. I was able to visit a lot of street graffiti and get a feel for the different styles of graffiti and the charm of Shoreditch while I had time.
PPD Questions:
1:Which part of the research process did you enjoy the most and why?
I think the most fun is the process of finding street graffiti and photographing it. It’s a lot of fun because you can see fun graffiti in places you don’t know, it’s like a treasure hunt and the whole process is full of surprises. At the same time, I could see the fascination of street graffiti, the fusion of art with a new experience, and the visual impact of this novelty, and it was a great pleasure.
2:How did you manage your time during the trip to ensure all tasks were completed?
This time I chose to shoot and do the shop report at the same time because the two tasks were not completely separate. I also learnt that planning my work well can make the process more efficient, so it is worth thinking about planning before completing the task. Effective planning makes it possible to complete tasks quickly.
3:What do you think the benefit is to experiencing something in person?
I think it’s different to see the graffiti in person. First of all you can see the original colour as well as the shape and size of it, which is usually very striking. And I love to see the connection between the paintings, this wonderful blend that brings a different visual experience. A lot of what you find online are individual pieces, whereas a whole wall of graffiti is a different experience, an interesting combination and an innovative expression of art. Through this trip, I also felt the impact of art and its charm. I also gained a lot of inspiration and inspiration, both in terms of colours and shapes, which can give a strong impression.
